Ukraine’s foreign minister accuses Czech president of seeking to damage relations between the two countries

Czech President Miloš Zeman is unsuccessfully trying to damage Czech-Ukrainian relations, according to Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba. Mr Kuleba’s statement was made via Twitter in reaction to the Czech president’s Sunday interview on CNN Prima News in which the latter said that he is not worried about the prospect of Russian aggression against the Ukraine and that he therefore does not see any need in moving NATO troops to the alliance’s eastern border.

Ukraine’s foreign minister also stated that he is looking forward to welcoming his Czech counterpart Jan Lipavský next week, who, he said, represents the Czech government which understands the potential of Russian aggression against Ukraine, Czechia and Europe in general.
