Ukraine sanctions Czech-based Voice of Europe

Ukraine has added Czech-based Voice of Europe to its sanctions list, Czech Radio reported on Sunday. According to last year’s findings by the Czech counterintelligence service BIS, the firm ran a disinformation website and sought to influence European Parliament elections in Russia’s favor. Ukraine earlier sanctioned two Czech citizens and three local firms over links to Russia. Voice of Europe is formally registered to a Polish citizen in the Czech Republic, but the main figures behind it are two Ukrainian-born businessmen with ties to Moscow: Viktor Medvedchuk and Arťom Marčevsky.
