Two planes collide at airport in Josefov

Two motor planes collided at the grass airfield in Josefov, outside Jaroměř (Hradec Králové Region), on Wednesday evening. No one was injured, but the preliminary damage to both planes is 800,000 crowns, the police said on their website.

"The pilot of one of the planes overlooked a stationary plane being prepared for operation while entering the hangar, and crashed into it at low speed,” said police spokeswoman Karolína Macháčková. The police ruled out the influence of alcohol after the pilot's breath test. The Civil Aviation Authority is investigating the case. The Jaroměř-Josefov public domestic airport is operated by the Jaroměř Aeroclub association.
