Traffic on border with Slovakia to be restricted at midnight due to foot-and-mouth disease

At midnight, traffic at the Czech-Slovak border will be restricted to four crossings, with mandatory disinfection mats for trucks due to the risk of the spread of foot-and-mouth disease.

According to Czech Agriculture Minister Marek Výborný, the situation is beginning to deteriorate significantly. A new outbreak has been reported on the border of Slovakia, Hungary, and Austria, and the protection zone now extends into Austria.
