Tokyo exhibition to highlight life and work of Václav Havel
An exhibition of photographs titled Václav Havel: Known and Unknown will open on April 22 at the Czech Embassy in Tokyo. The exhibition marks the anniversary of April 22, 1992, when Václav Havel became the first Czechoslovak president to visit Japan. This year also commemorates what would have been his 90th birthday.
The exhibition was organized by the Václav Havel Library in cooperation with the Czech Embassy in Tokyo and Czech Centre Tokyo. According to spokesperson Mária Pfeiferová, it will feature photographs by leading Czech photographers as well as images from the Havel family archive.
