Three Kings procession with camels passes through centre of Prague
The Three Kings procession, which raises money for the annual collection of Caritas Czech Republic, set off on Friday afternoon from Malá Strana, drawing crowds of residents and tourists through the centre of Prague. The three ‘kings’, based on the Biblical Magi, rode on camels across Charles Bridge to Old Town Square. In the Church of St. Thomas in Malá Strana, carollers for the Three Kings collection were blessed by Archbishop of Prague Jan Graubner. According to the Gospel of Matthew and tradition, the travellers saw the Infant Jesus on January 6th, which the Church celebrates as the feast of the Epiphany.
