Thousands gather to support Ukraine in central Prague

Thousands of people gathered in central Prague on Thursday evening to protest against the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The demonstration Prague Stands Behind Ukraine! took place on the upper part of the city’s Wenceslas Square. Hundreds of people had also turned out there to express support for Ukraine earlier in the day.

People also assembled at the Russian Embassy in Prague on Thursday to voice their opposition to Vladimir Putin’s launch of an attack on Ukraine.
