Tens of thousands of birds being culled over aviation flu
Hygiene officers have started culling thousands of birds at a commercial duck farm in the Hradec Králové region where the bird flu was confirmed last week. Around 55,000 birds are slated for culling within the latest infestation of the bird flu, which has now been confirmed in three regions. Farms in the Central Bohemia and Pardubice region have also had to cull thousands of birds and introduce safety measures at commercial farms and private breeders.
