Tennis: Three Czechs knocked out of third round in Montreal
Three Czech tennis players have been knocked out of the WTA tournament in Montreal in the third round on Thursday. Wimbledon champion Markéta Vondroušová was defeated by American Cori Gauff, Karolína Muchová lost in three sets to world number one Iga Šwiatek and Marie Bouzková failed against Russian Daria Kasatkina.
The only Czech to remain in the women’s singles is Petra Kvitová, who will face Belinda Bencic of Switzerland on Friday.
