Tennis: Štěpánek to face Haase in Davis Cup’s opening single

Radek Štěpánek was drawn against Robin Haas of the Netherlands for the opening single of the Davis Cup’s first round to be played in Ostrava on Friday. In the other single on that day, Tomáš Berdych will face Dutchman Igor Sijsling. Czech captain Jaroslav Navrátil nominated Lukáš Rosol and Jiří Veselý for the doubles game on Saturday but it’s likely that Berdych and Štěpánek will play instead. The Czech Davis Cup team is looking to defend the trophy which they won in the past two seasons of the competition.
