Temperature records for December 19 broken around the country

Temperature records were broken at monitoring stations around the country on Thursday. A new high for December 19 was recorded at 22 of the 171 stations that have been operating for at least 30 years. The highest temperature was in Zlaté Hory in the north-east of the country, where it reached 17.4 degrees Celsius.

In the coming days, temperatures will drop again, with highs reaching up to 6°C on Friday and Saturday. By Sunday, temperatures in Bohemia will rise slightly to a maximum of 8°C, while in Moravia, they will remain below 3°C.
