Teenagers prosecuted over Charles Bridge graffiti
Police have begun prosecuting a 17-year-old boy and a girl of 16 for spraying graffiti on Prague’s Charles Bridge in July. The teenagers are facing charges of harming the belongings of others.
The damage was estimated at CZK 100,000 when turquoise graffiti appeared on the 14th century bridge’s railings, the pedestal of a statue of St. Augustine and lamp-stands. The two teens, who were seen on CCTV footage, have confessed to causing the damage.
