Sunday’s increase in Covid-19 cases lowest in two weeks

Sunday’s increase in the number of coronavirus cases is the lowest in the past two weeks, at just 102, according to Health Ministry statistics released on Monday. However experts warn that the lower figures over the past two days could be related to the lower number of tests on weekends.

The number of people fighting the disease is now 4,811, a record high since the start of the epidemic. Altogether close to 16, 800 people have been confirmed Covid-19 positive.124 people are currently hospitalized with coronavirus, 22 of them in serious condition. 384 people have died.

The situation is currently worst in the Prachatice region where there are currently 43 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
