SÚKL head: Covid-19 vaccination key for kids with lung disease, immune disorders

Vaccination against Covid-19 is crucial for children who have lung diseases such as asthma or suffer from an immune disorder, State Institute for Drug Control (SÚKL) head Irena Storová said on Friday.

She was responding to the European Medicines Agency (EMA) recommendation that children aged 12 to 15 years take the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine. In the Czech Republic, children aged 12 and up could be vaccinated as of end-June, said chief hygienist Pavla Svrčinová.
