Students call demonstration for Wednesday demanding resignation of dean Ševčík

Students of the Faculty of Economics have called a demonstration for Wednesday demanding the resignation of the faculty’s dean, Miroslav Ševčík, over his controversial behaviour. If he fails to do so, they intend to appeal to the faculty’s Academic Senate.

The rector of the Prague University of Economics and Business, Petr Dvořák, on Tuesday called on the academic senate of his university to remove Mr. Ševčík from the office. Otherwise, he said he would initiate the impeachment proceedings himself.

Ševčík, who rejected the allegation that he had been among those who tried to storm the building of the National Museum, has asked the rector for more time to decide whether he will resign.
