STEM: Trust in President Pavel remains stable, 51% of Czechs trust him

After two years in office, President Petr Pavel has the trust of approximately half of the Czech population, according to the results of an April survey by the STEM agency published on Wednesday. Support for the head of state remains stable and the public's attitude towards Pavel's performance of the presidential office has not undergone any fundamental change in the last year. The survey also found that Czechs prefer a non-partisan president who monitors compliance with the rules.

The start of President Pavel's mandate in March 2023 was accompanied by relatively strong public trust, STEM notes. Six out of ten Czechs trusted him at the time. After two years, 51% of people trust him.
