State of emergency will not be extended beyond April 11

The state of emergency in the country will not be extended beyond April 11, Prime Minister Andrej Babis said on Sunday.

The prime minister told the news site tn.cz that the government is not planning to ask Parliament for another extension and will apply the recently approved law on pandemics instead.

The law on pandemics does not allow the government to restrict freedom of movement, which means that the night curfew and the ban on travel between districts will not apply after April 11.
