Our Easter Sunday music programme focuses on the album Studánko Rubínko (Ruby Well) by Hradišťan, one of the nation’s most acclaimed folk ensembles.
Created for both children and their parents, the album brings together songs, nursery rhymes, poems, and carols inspired by spring and Easter traditions.
The collection is framed by verses written by Miroslav Bureš, also known for their connection to Bohuslav Martinů’s renowned cantata The Opening of the Wells. In the album’s opening track, these verses are set to music by the group’s leader, Jiří Pavlica.
