Špotáková takes javelin bronze at European Athletics Championships

Czechia’s Barbora Špotáková won bronze in the women’s javelin at the European Athletics Championships in Munich on Saturday evening. In a dramatic conclusion, the 41-year-old took the medal with a final throw of 60.68 metres; she was briefly in second place before a competitor edged past her with her final attempt.

Špotáková is a two-time Olympic champion and three time world champion.
