Speed-skater Martina Sáblíková finishes fourth at Beijing Olympics
Czech speed-skater Martina Sáblíková finished in fourth place at Saturday’s 3000m women’s speed skating final at the Winter Olympics in Beijing. Fellow Czech Nikola Zdráhalová finished 14 places behind her, with favorite Irene Schouten from the Netherlands winning gold.
Sáblíková, who is a former olympic champion and six-time world champion, said that she was happy with the result given her January injury, which saw her cut her leg during training.
