Sparta Prague have virtually lost all hope of reaching the quarter finals of the Champions League after being beaten for the second time in a week by the Greek side Panathinaikos. Sparta lost 2:1 in Athens on Wednesday evening and now have only three points after four games.

One of the few bright points of the game was the performance of Sparta's Martin Klein - Klein is only 17 and came on as a substitute and scored in the very last minute. Not only was it Klein's Champions League debut, the youngster has only ever played 15 minutes in the Czech league. The goal brought Klein no pleasure however -" how could I celebrate when we've lost," he said after the game.
