Sparta Prague to build new football stadium in Krč
Czech football club AC Sparta Prague plans to build a new football stadium in Prague’s Krč district, near the Jižní spojka ring road. The venue, with a capacity of 5,000, will meet UEFA standards and is expected to open in 2029.
The stadium will host matches for Sparta’s B team and women’s first team, as well as youth training sessions. Club vice-chairman František Čupr said the project would cost around one billion crowns and be fully financed by the club.
The new ground will form part of a wider sports complex known as the “Sports Valley”, home to several baseball, tennis, volleyball and football clubs in the south of Prague.
