Sparta make large loss in 2012–2013 season

Sparta Prague recorded losses of CZK 190 million for the 2012–2013 season, according to the football club’s annual report, which has been posted on their website. The poor results have been partly attributed to a reluctance to sell key players to clubs outside the Czech Republic. However, while Sparta are the country’s most successful club in terms of trophies, they have only once made a profit since 2004.
