Slovak minister Kaliňák discusses possible purchase of Czech aircraft at Aero Vodochody

Slovakia’s Minister of Defence Robert Kaliňák discussed the possible purchase of approximately ten to twelve L-39 Skyfox aircraft for Slovakia on Tuesday at Aero Vodochody, the company’s CEO Viktor Sotona told Czech News. Neither party specified the date of the decision. Mr. Kaliňák confirmed to journalists that the number of aircraft to be decided on is close to twelve, but the number needed for high-quality and effective training should first be assessed by professionals.

Together with Czech Minister of Defence Jana Černochová, he will also visit another three companies on Tuesday. Mr. Kaliňák told reporters that he and Ms. Černochová are exchanging information about the Czech and Slovak defence industries' capabilities, and that Czechia and Slovakia are destined to have the closest possible cooperation.
