Slight drop in Covid cases recorded on Thursday

Laboratories in the Czech Republic registered 18,582 new cases of Covid-19 on Thursday, about 9,000 fewer than on the same day last week.  Over 6,600 people are currently hospitalized with Covid, with over 1,000 requiring intensive care. The incidence number for the has dropped to 1,223 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

Over 2.21 million people in the Czech Republic contracted the virus since the pandemic hit the country last March and 33,450 of them died of Covid related complications.
