Skoda workers get long Christmas holidays

It looks like workers at car-maker Skoda will have a longer than usual holiday this Christmas - the plant plans to halt production from December 21 to January 7, because of the worldwide recession in car sales. Meanwhile, Skoda's German owners Volkswagen have announced an organisational shake-up under which, according to the German press, the company would exercise greater control over Skoda.
