Škoda to release new SUV Kushaq in India 

Car manufacturer Škoda Auto is set to release a new SUV designed for the Indian market, called Škoda Kushaq, the company announced on Thursday. The name of the new model is derived from the ancient Indian language of Sanskrit and denotes a king or an emperor. It will have its world premiere in March 2021.

As part of VW Group’s India 2.0 Project, Škoda is responsible for managing the activities of Volkswagen Group brands represented in the region. The new Škoda Kushaq is the first under the group’s initiative to develop a range of vehicles for the Indian market on a localised platform.
