Ski season has started in Czechia’s mountain resorts
The ski season has started earlier than planned in many of Czechia’s mountain resorts due to heavy snow in the mountain regions. Ski lifts in many ski resorts are being put into operation this weekend and hotel owners say their first visitors are already testing the snow. In the Giant Mountains, the popular ski resort Černá hora - Pec opened to skiers on Friday, Špindleruv Mlyn and Malá Úpa will put their lifts in operation on Saturday. The conditions for skiing are ideal with 30 to 80 centimetres of natural and technical snow on the slopes.
