Siniaková wins Madrid doubles title for 36th career trophy

Czech tennis player Kateřina Siniaková claimed the 36th doubles title of her career on clay in Madrid. Partnering American Taylor Townsend, she defeated the Russian duo of Mirra Andreeva and Diana Shnaider 7-6, 6-2 in the final.

The victory gave Siniaková and Townsend their third consecutive WTA 1000 title together. Earlier this season they completed the Sunshine Double with triumphs at Indian Wells and Miami.

The pair have now extended their winning streak to 15 matches.
