Shops selling stationary products and children’s clothing reopen

Shops selling stationary products and children’s clothing reopened on Tuesday, after the government placed these items on the list of essential products that must remain available to the public.

The cabinet ruled out the possibility of other stores being allowed to reopen in the coming days, saying that such a decision would depend largely on the situation in Czech hospitals which is presently not good.

Most hospitals are near their capacity limit and non-essential surgery is still prohibited. 300 new Covid patients were admitted to hospitals around the country on Monday, bringing the overall number of hospitalized Covid patients to 6,666.
