Service sector sees 12 percent fall in sales in third quarter of 2020

Sales revenues within the Czech service sector fell by 12 percent in the third quarter of 2020, the Czech Statistics Agency website stated on Monday. The most significant decline in earnings was noticeable among travel related services, with travel agencies losing four fifths and air travel companies 73.5 percent of their sales revenue.In the hospitality sector, sales fell by more than 24 percent.

However, not all services experienced a bad third quarter. Postal services, telecommunications companies or media services, such as television and the radio, saw sales revenue rise.
