Saturday’s Castle and Chateau Night will see 76 sites open to visitors

76 historic sites across the Czech Republic are set to take part in this year’s edition of the Castle and Chateau Night, which will take place on the night from Saturday to Sunday this week.

The main centre of the event will be in the Moravian Pernštejn Castle and its newly opened gardens, which will feature a special exhibition on the nobility of the Enlightenment period that opens from 6pm on Saturday. Meanwhile, in Valtice Chateau, visitors will be able to take part in a wine tasting event. Other castles will feature specialised exhibits depicting life in the Renaissance and in the Middle Ages. Theatre, dance and music performances in normally inaccessible spaces will also be on offer.

The Castle and Chateau Night is a popular event in the Czech Republic attended by thousands of visitors every year. Details about the event and the specific venues can be found on the official website of the National Herritage Institute - npu.cz.
