Sales of Christmas and New Year’s Eve package tours lower than in 2019

Sales of Christmas and New Year's Eve package tours are 20 percent lower than in 2019 so far, the Czech News Agency reported on Sunday, citing the Association of Travel Agencies of the Czech Republic.

According to the association’s director Jan Papež, around 250,000 Czechs are expected to travel abroad by air at the end of the year. Most often they choose holidays by the sea.

Spokeswoman of the Čedok travel agency, Kateřina Pavlíková, told the Czech News Agency that there is increased interest in more luxurious exotic destinations for Christmas this year, such as Zanzibar, the Dominican Republic and Madagascar.
