Russian ambassador summoned over use of real estate

The Czech Foreign Ministry summoned the Russian ambassador to Prague, Alexander Zmejewski, on Tuesday morning over the use of real estate owned by the Russian Embassy in the Czech Republic.

The authorities suspect that many of the buildings are not used for diplomatic activities. According to Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský, this would be in violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.

Earlier this month, the head of Czech diplomacy created a working group to deal with the issue of property rights to real estate used by Russia in the Czech Republic.
