Russia offers Czechs who share its values special “humanitarian” visa
Russia has offered foreigners who share its values a special “humanitarian” visa. Participants in the program can apply for a visa for up to 90 days and then apply for a temporary residence permit in Russia. They do not have to prove their knowledge of the language, history or legislation. The Russian embassy in Prague has advertised the invitation on its website, but it refused to disclose how many Czechs –if any – have taken advantage of the offer. The offer is reportedly valid for a number of European countries. Slovakia and Hungary are absent from the list.
