Russia aims to weaken trust in Czech institutions, says BIS chief
Russia is targeting Czech society’s cohesion and public trust in institutions, the state, the rule of law, and the country’s international standing, the head of the Security Information Service (BIS), Michal Koudelka, said today at a conference in the Chamber of Deputies. He described Russia as the main adversary and the greatest security risk for Czechia.
According to Mr. Koudelka, Moscow has no interest in ending the war in Ukraine. He stressed that Russia’s deliberate attacks on civilians show a willingness to use the same methods elsewhere, including against Czechia.
