Rulík names 19 world champions in Czech Olympic hockey squad

Czech national hockey coach Radim Rulík has included 19 players from last year’s world championship-winning team in his squad for the Winter Olympics in Milan. Rulík announced the full 25-man roster at a press conference in Prague on Tuesday.

The selection features several veterans of the gold-medal triumph in Prague, including captain Roman Červenka, who is set to appear at his fifth Olympic Games.

Six players, among them NHL stars David Pastrňák and Martin Nečas, were named earlier. The Czech team will open the Olympic tournament against Canada on February 12, followed by games against France and Switzerland.
