Remains of Czech national kidnapped in Libya reportedly discovered

The remains of a Czech national and another five people, who were kidnapped by terrorists in Libya in 2015, have reportedly been discovered in the country, the Austrian daily Kronen Zeitung reported on Friday.

The Czech, together with an Austrian colleague, were employees of the Maltese-Austrian company VAOS. They were among a group of foreign workers, who were kidnapped by Islamic State militants in an attack on an oil-field in Libya.

They are believed to have been murdered shortly after the kidnapping. According to the daily, they were buried in the town of Darná.
