Registered partnerships to become possible at all Czech registry offices

Same-sex couples should be able to enter registered partnerships at any of Czechia’s registry offices, under a government amendment to the law on registry offices that was passed in the first reading by MPs on Wednesday.

At present homosexual couples can register as partners at only 14 such offices. Registered partnership entered into Czech law in 2006. Czechia does not allow marriage between people of the same sex.
