RegioJet takes over operation of five express train routes for over 11 billion CZK

Transport company RegioJet will take over the operation of five express train routes starting in December 2029. The state will pay the operator 11.63 billion CZK over 15 years of service. Most of the routes are currently operated by Arriva. RegioJet won a public tender held by the Ministry of Transport, which selected from four bids. It is the largest long-distance rail tender the ministry has issued to date. This information comes from the contract register and was reported on Friday by the Zdopravy.cz news site.
