Rapper Anki wins Apollo music award

The Apollo music critics’ prize for Czech Album of the Year went to I Want To Feel Safe by Czech-Vietnamese rapper Anki, while singer Pam Rabbit received the Apollo award for her single Space.

The ceremony, held at Prague’s Lucerna Music Bar, featured live performances by three nominated acts: indie pop band Dukla, electronic duo Bratři, and singer-songwriter Rozálie. Now in its 14th year, the Apollo Awards are decided by a jury of music journalists and curators.

Both artists also recently earned Anděl Awards, presented by the Czech Music Academy.
