Question for December
The time of Advent is a time to meet up with friends, visit Christmas markets and admire some of the many nativity scenes on display around the country. Where is the largest nativity scene in the Czech Republic, which is also one of the largest in Europe? It is on three canvases, the largest one, with the central motif of baby Jesus is about 4 meters high and the nativity scene has seven wood painted panels.
Question for November
On November 17 Czechs celebrate Freedom and Democracy Day and International Students’ Day commemorating the closure of Czech universities by the Nazis in 1939 and the Velvet Revolution that toppled communism. This day is also a public holiday. Which other country celebrates this public holiday?
