Czechs like to bake a traditional sweet cake during Easter. It resembles a domesticated animal, but which one?

The correct answer for April:

lamb

The lamb has been a ceremonial dish since the Middle Ages. However, its meat was expensive so it was replaced by a cake in the form of the animal. The lamb cake is usually baked using cottage cheese dough and every Czech family is expected to have one.
