Last weekend the band announced that it was wrapping up more than 30 years on the stage and in the studio – no long farewells – personal and health problems had got the better of them they said. Three decades in band-years is an awfully long time, so divorce at that age is fairly understandable, but still nobody wanted to see it coming, such is the reliability of the “Dog Soldiers” on the music scene and their weight in the Czech underground. On hand to talk with me about 32 years of Psí Vojáci in today’s show is Petr Wagner – a music commentator, punk musician, host on Radio Wave and Hussite priest – indeed an interesting character himself.
