Protests against tightened restrictions

The government’s decision to further tighten restrictions in view of the worsening epidemiological situation has met with protests from entrepreneurs and other groups of the population. The initiative Chcipl PES, representing people in the hospitality sector, has called protests outside government buildings in Prague, urging dissatisfied people from the regions to come and make their voice heard.

Meanwhile three abandoned vehicles were found parked on Charles Bridge on Friday morning, just hours after the government announced the new restrictions. A message spray-painted on them read SorryGovernment. The bridge is a protected historical site and is off limits to traffic.
