Prosecutor proposes High Court judge accused of manipulating cases be kept behind bars

The state prosecutor in charge of a case in which five individuals are accused of corruption and manipulating court cases has asked that four of the defendants be kept in custody, High State Attorney Lenka Bradáčová told the Czech News Agency on Monday. This includes the accused Prague High Court Judge Zdeněk Sovák, whose office was raided last weekend. The prosecutor believes that the defendants could attempt influencing witnesses if they are not kept in prison.

One of the defendants has been released from custody.
