Problems with baggage handling at Prague’s international airport
Heavy holiday traffic and flight delays around Europe have resulted in severe problems with baggage handling at Prague's Václav Havel Airport. According to airport spokeswoman Klára Divíšková travelers may experience delays in unloading baggage on arrival and there have been cases of luggage left behind and sent out on the next flight to the given destination. This is due to frequent flight delays, a shortage of baggage handlers, especially at peak times and air traffic overload. Passengers can fill out a claim form to get their luggage sent to their home or hotel. The airport has also set up a temporary phone line for passengers whose luggage has not arrived.
