Private and public collectors put together a major exhibition in Budapest

For the first time ever a state-run and a private museum have joined forces for a major art show in Budapest. This exhibition in the Hungarian National Museum seeks to provide an overview of Hungarian painting over 150 years, with the help of 144 works, borrowed from some thirty public and private collections.

Featuring great masters, the selection highlights the thematic and stylistic diversity of painting from the beginning of the 19th century to the middle of the 20th century.
