Přísaha rejects Motorists' offer to cooperate in elections

The national council of the Přísaha (‘Oath’) movement unanimously rejected the offer of the Motorists for Themselves party to cooperate in this year's parliamentary elections. It will enter the elections independently, the movement's spokesman Ondřej Požár announced on Wednesday.

According to Přísaha, the Motorists broke the joint project with an earlier statement about an independent procedure. The leader of the Motorists Petr Macinka told ČTK that the offer made to Přísaha was "very good and decent", and he denied that the Motorists were responsible for the end of the alliance. Přísaha was given the chance to make a pragmatic political decision, but it refused, which the Motorists respect, he added.
