President Zeman speaks out in favour of mandatory vaccination
President Miloš Zeman has spoken out in favour of introducing mandatory vaccination against Covid. Taking part in an online summit of the Visegrad group on Monday, the Czech president said all four states should consider introducing compulsory vaccination since it was the only way out of the drawn-out health crisis. He said politicians shied away from such a step because they feared it would be a highly unpopular move. The outgoing Czech administration is now considering mandatory vaccines for people over 60 and those in high-risk professions, but the incoming administration has made it clear it is against mandatory vaccination.
